Umayyad Caliphate

The construction of the Dome of the Rock (Qubbat al-Sakhra) by Caliph Abd al-Malik was completed, making the city a global center of Islamic architecture.

Abbasid & Fatimid Era

A period of intellectual growth where science, medicine, and philosophy flourished. The region served as a trade bridge between the East and West.

Social Coexistence

During these 400+ years, Muslims, Christians, and Jews coexisted under a system that respected religious laws and personal properties. Trade routes from Gaza to Damascus were safe, and agriculture reached new heights with advanced irrigation systems.
